Redemption websites recognize physical locations and may not accept the gift card code, accordingly. In addition, other restrictions may occur that limit international gift card purchases.
- Payment Methods: Generally speaking, debit/credit card accounts must be based in the United States in order for gift cards to be funded with a credit or debit card payment
- Mobile Phone Verification: Our systems require a mobile phone number for verification purposes. USA formats are accepted.

Adidas is an example of a gift card that is valid for use in the USA only. If you are located outside of the USA, the Adidas redemption site will not be able to accept the code.

Because Vanilla Visa is an internationally used gift card, we try to protect our customers by confirming agreement to the location restriction before completing a purchase. When users check this box, they acknowledge the geographic limitation.

Gift Cards Can be Transferred or Regifted
While gift cards are not refundable, they are transferable. Just forward your email notification to a friend or relative in the USA. When presented with the security question, the correct answer is the original one entered into the order. Please pass this information along to your recipient.
